DDHS Student Mentorship Program
On October 22, 2009, DDHS hosted a "Meet and Mingle" pizza party for the hygiene students at Baylor College of Dentistry. At the party, students had the opportunity to meet their DDHS mentor and ask questions about "real world" dental hygiene. DDHS is proud to partner with Baylor College of Dentistry students to help the transition from student to RDH!

Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Ruth Swords, director of the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene at Baylor College of Dentistry from 1962-1982, passed away on June 26, 2009. Former students of Dr. Swords at Baylor, in cooperation with her daughter, Dr. Sylvia Gleaton, have stated a memorial scholarship in her name. Anyone who wishes to contribute may send a check to the Office of Communications & Institutional Advancement at Baylor College of Dentistry, 3302 Gaston Ave, Dallas, TX 75246, with Dr. Swords’ name in the memo section.
